The beauty of this most recent work I’ve been doing is that I get requests of all kinds. Whether it’s a grandma, baby, dragon or my most recent favorite…”anything with an anatomical human heart”. Goodness gracious, I love this! Honestly, I never in school thought that this is what I would be doing now, but it’s pretty freakin great if I do say so myself. I can breathe, I can think, and I don’t feel like I’m in the center of a tornado all the time. Portraits and such are still in the works and at the moment, it’s still a word of mouth thing, so keep spreading the word!
My personal art website/blog is up and running, and it’s just a matter of getting the domain and I’m good to go! The online print shop is in the works and all is well.
Compared to this time last year, I have an all new set of priorities, some new goals, and a completely different outlook on life. The garden is sprouting, the bike is tuned up and my pencil sharpener is running 24 hours a day,
Funny, isn’t it?
I just learned about this adorable A Beautiful Mess app for the iPhone tonight and couldn’t resist giving it a try! Plus, the garden…well the seeds, are coming right along and only have one thing that hasn’t sprouted yet. I did get an amazing purple basil plant already started and will do the same with the other herbs to keep inside the house. But anyways….photos are from my Instagram Feed and additional fun by the A Beautiful Mess app!
I don’t know how my Mother’s Day post got deleted, but here it is again….
Happy Mother’s Day to one awesome mom. I’m so excited to see her in just a few days!
It’s official…Kathy and Mike have made it to the perfect place for them; Lawrence, Kansas. They’ve got their dream garage. Oh, and a house too. The dogs now have five acres to run, and that just at the house…not to mention the lake and parks and awesome places all nearby. Yep, they scored. AND family, yes, all the fam is in the same place now, with the exception of some of us here in Denver and Zach in Texas.
The move was grueling and tiresome….and that was the part I missed. Sorry! (but am I?) Haha, but really, wouldn’t have even been possible without awesome friends and loved ones who are all badass machines and muscle-men/women. But no…it’s not quite over yet. There is still the process of moving boxes and such into the house from the garage and rearranging, but the worst is definitely over and this is the fun part!
I have neglected to keep updating during these past few weeks, but stay with me, I’m going to do my best to do awesome things this summer! Yes, yes I will tryyyyyy. I was looking at my planner and realizing that every single week for the past two months, I have been in a different place pretty much every week. Good lord. I will say, that the majority of my next few months will most likely be spent here in Colorado. Denver, yes…part of the time, but I have a few things up my sleeve. See, for instance, I would tell you that I just got back to Denver this past weekend, but as I say that, I’m housesitting out here in Larkspur getting a ridiculous amount of drawing done along with bottling moonshine like a madwoman. Haha, I like this.
Summer plans? Again, you’ll kind of just have to wait, because honestly, I have no real idea. I know, just like I said in my Random Resolutions, it will most likely involve drawing, hiking, biking, taking care of myself, and RAGBRAIIIIIIII. Yep, still planning on it! Oh, and let the garden begin! That’s all for now, I believe.
Eat well and travel often my friends.

Ladies and Gents:
Exciting news! I’ve been featured on GreyAreaMag.com as their April artist of the “CO-nth” (Colorado native issue). The interview with the very funny Steph Grey turned out really awesome, so you guys should definitely check it out!
Annnnnnd also check out everything else that GreyAreaMag has to offer….
Also, more exciting news! A new website/blog is in the works! It’s going to be purely for art news and updates, and there will also be a tab in there for some in-progress portrait work and contact info as well. Not too shabby, not at all. I’m currently pulling my hair out trying get it right (I’m terrible at this web crap), but it’s really coming along, and I’ll post the final address when I get it to a point of it being presentable. But regardless….here’s a little sneak peek….
